The Week-End Review: Travels across the blogiverse this week

(Well, it’s nearly the end of the week, and we’re getting ready for the weekend, aren’t we?)

I’m changing up the schedule around here a bit, since I have decided to join the Sunday Salon as of this weekend, which means that Saturday will become my regularly scheduled “day off” from posting. Therefore, I’m relocating the Weekend Review links post to Fridays; Bookkeeping and Bookmarks links will be included in the Sunday Salon posts.

**In the meantime, you still have until October 14 to enter one of my three 1000-Post Celebration Giveaways!**

(A customer comes into our pet store during the winter.)
Customer: “When they salt the streets, it burns my dog’s paws.”
Me: “Well, we have shoes for your dog right over here.”
(I show her the different sets of shoes we have available.)
Customer: “Wait, why are there four shoes?”

Friday Fill-ins #144

ffi 1. I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve; I have a history of losing my shirt. (Apologies to Barenaked Ladies…)

2. What my dog thinks about all day is something I wish I knew.

3. I’m not eating dessert tonight. (I’ll be saving up for birthday cake tomorrow.)

4. I spend too much time every day on the road; I wouldn’t mind so much if I was actually moving.

5. So that’s it, that’s the whole story? Man, that was a waste of time!

6. A little taste is better than nothing!

7. And on tap this weekend:

  • My stepdaughter’s 15th-birthday “gathering” at her mom’s house (She didn’t want a “party” this year. She’s lucky that her family doesn’t pay much attention to its Mexican heritage – or even speak Spanish – and she’s not getting a quinceañera.)
  • Hopefully, finishing one book, writing the review, and starting my next read!
  • Now that Fall TV is seriously underway, we’ll probably be spending some time playing “catch-up” with the DVR.
  • If you’re in Southern California, a bunch of LA-area museums are FREE this weekend. I don’t know if we’ll be taking advantage of that or not, but it’s nice to have the option…

What have you got planned?

  1. I can't believe the Brady Bunch is 40 years old! My family didn't watch it when it was originally broadcast because my dad called it "The Bratty Bunch."

  2. Lenore – Glad to hear it! The book-blog links will go up on Sunday; one of them should look quite familiar to you :-).

Billy Rhythm – Thanks! It's nice to be back.
