Random updates

This blog was recently honored with an award by the awesome Sheri (I’ve met her, and it’s true!) of A Novel Menagerie:

humanity-award1

“The Humane Award is to honor certain bloggers that are kindhearted individuals. They regularly take part in my blog and always leave the sweetest comments. If it wasn’t for them, my site would just be an ordinary book review blog. Their blogs are also amazing and are tastefully done on a daily basis. This award is to thank them for their growing friendships through the blog world.”

I sure hope I live up to this one – and I’d like to share it with all of my “regulars.” Thank you so much, Sheri!

Me: “Hi! So have you seen Watchmen yet?”
Customer: “No, we are going right after this.”
Me: “You do know that Watchmen is a very violent movie geared towards adults, right?”
Customer: “Oh, it’s okay. We’re from the Bronx.”

I’ve mentioned that I’m not really a library user. Now I feel justified – I’d hate to encounter these Awful Library Books! (Thanks to The Betty and Boo Chronicles for finding this one!)

Have a great weekend, y’all!

  1. Thanks for the shout-out, as always. I didn't find Awful Library Books on my own … it came to me from another blogger, and I am embarrassed to say I have no idea who it was. It's a hilarious blog, though!

  2. Sheri (Menagerie) – I'm glad you think so…thanks again :-)!

The Review is probably going to be taking a break this coming weekend, but it will be back to start out August.

B&B Mommy – It was too good not to mention. Thanks to whoever led you there :-).

Scrbbit – You're welcome, and nice meeting you!

  3. Jackie (FarmLane Books) – Congratulations on your well-deserved recognition among the British book blogs! I just enjoy sharing good news :-).
