I recently put my blog through some analysis, having gotten a couple of referrals from Madame Meow of A Daily Dose of Zen Sarcasm!
ESFP – The Performers
They enjoy work that makes them able to help other people in a concrete and visible way. They tend to avoid conflicts and rarely initiate confrontation – qualities that can make it hard for them in management positions.
Hmm…in real life, I’m an ISFJ or ISTJ. But I did tell someone recently that I’m getting better at acting like an extrovert – or at least writing like one, apparently. But in some respects, this analysis isn’t too far off the mark, especially the conflict-avoidance part. This may be the first time the E (extrovert) designation has ever been publicly associated with me, though.
Karen at Verbatim (her blog is ESFP too) posted a list of “MBTI prayers” in a post related to her Typealyzer result, and these are the ones applicable to my types:
ISFJ: Lord, help me to be more laid back and help me to do it EXACTLY right.
ESFP: God help me to take things more seriously, especially parties and dancing.
On the other hand…I think my recently-acquired mom-blogger credentials might be revoked if this finding from GenderAnalyzer.com gets out:
Oops, I guess it just did get out. I’m pretty sure it’s wrong, though.
So, what type are you (and your blog)?
**** Have you entered any of my FOUR giveaways yet? Find out more here! They’re open until Friday (December 12), and you may enter any or all.
Apparently my blog is like a socket that’s unable to connect! 😉
KFB – OK, you’re going to have to post your result so I know what that means…
Heh, I’m with Karen. The site seems to me broken.
Mike – Yeah, it’s not the link; the Typealyzer site itself seems to have a problem. Sorry about that (to Karen too)!
Apparently I’m a performer as well, who knew? Also, my blog is written by a man by is gender-neutral. Harumph.
Michelle – I was surprised by that result as well. And I totally don’t get the GenderAnalyzer :-).
But I guess TypeAlyzer is working again, so that’s good – thanks!
I am evidently a ESTP, which is a doer. I actually laughed when I read the description. In real life I’m more of a INFJ or INTJ.
The active and play-ful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities.
The Doers are happiest with action-filled work which craves their full attention and focus. They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time.
My blog is definitely written by a woman (62%). 🙂
Literary Feline – Yes, I was surprised to find out that my blog is an extrovert, since I am definitely not :-).
Well I’m an ISTJ in real life – but my blog is ESFJ – The Socializers – how strange! Thanks for linking me up to that.
Clare – Nice to meet up with another ISTJ; I don’t seem to encounter too many. And I think it’s interesting that we can be introverts in person, and yet express ourselves as extroverts in writing!
