This week’s Ten on Tuesday theme was “10 Things You Love to Talk About,” but since I was talking about Election Day yesterday, I thought I’d hold this post till today. Besides, if these really are things I love to talk about, I can talk about them any time, right?
In no particular order, although the first item really does belong at #1:
- My family. My husband, all three of the kids, my nephews, my sister…and that includes my dog, too.
- Current popular culture – mostly my favorite TV shows and music, with a dose of movies sometimes
- Reminiscing about TV shows and music from my formative years in the ’70’s and ’80’s, especially with people whose brains are as cluttered with useless trivia about them as mine is
- Plans for our future – short term, longer term, and the highly unlikely (like what we’ll do when my husband wins the lottery)
- Current events and politics, but only with people who are fairly well-informed (and I’ve got to be honest – since this is about talking and not “debating” or “arguing,” and it’s specifically what we love talking about – with people who are pretty open-minded and/or have opinions similar to mine)
- Blogging, but only with people who “get” blogging, which is mostly other bloggers
- Reading and books, although I do a lot more “talking” about them onlne than I do person-to-person
- Strange, funny, and/or annoying things that other people do that we observe over the course of the day
- Food. Meal planning, favorite things to eat, best-liked restaurants, stuff I wouldn’t eat on a bet…
- And while it’s kind of embarrassing to list this last one…well, I have to admit that I do like talking about ME quite a bit too :-). If that weren’t true, why would I even have a blog?
I had more trouble than I thought I would coming up with 10 different, specific things I love to talk about. What are some of your favorite topics of conversation?

If I made a list, I think it would look very similar to yours. 🙂
Wendy (Literary Feline) – I think you and I would have a lot to talk about :-D!
