Ten on Tuesday encore, with special guests!

This is a special follow-up to this week’s Ten on Tuesday post, with – the Talls! My husband Tall Paul occasionally likes to give his own answers to the memes I do here, and he lets me post them; this time, my stepdaughter Tall Girl wanted to play too. It’s two guest posts for the price of – well, nothing. Nothing more than tolerating my editorial comments, anyway.

Ladies first, so here are Tall Girl’s responses:

“10 Places You’d Love to Travel To (That You Haven’t Gone to Yet)”

Jackson and Yellowstone in Wyoming – The mountains and wildlife are abundant. Going there this summer! (Just about six weeks from now, actually!)

Boston – I don’t know anyone who has been there and didn’t like it.

Seattle – It is supposed to be beautiful. In a way, like my native Southern California, where you can be in the city, coastline, and mountains all in one day.

Washington DC – I have always wanted to go. Not just for the history, but to have a better reference of our nation’s capital.

Alaska Denali National Park. Grizzly bears! Moose! I would love to take a photo safari there.

Hawaii – To one of the non-touristy spots. A nice beach, privacy, books…

Rome (and other Italian cities) – The art! The architecture! The food!

France – Not so much for the people or food, for the Louvre.

Sydney, Australia – Supposed to be a very friendly and clean city. Would a Koala fit in my carry-on?

Chicago – Because I want to take Florinda to a Cubs game. (Awwww…)

  1. I commend your daughter on a fine choice for her hero! 🙂
Alaska is a great idea. I’d stay away from the bears though. We’ve talked of doing a cruise there.

  2. Cage fights? What are cage fights?

Is just a sign of my incredible unhipness?

Seattle is nice. No, it doesn’t rain all the time. For instance, today it is not raining. (Though it is completely overcast….)

  3. Mike – I knew you’d approve of Tall Girl’s answer to that one as soon as I saw it. We won’t let the 8-year-old watch Futurama, though…your boy Bender is NOT exactly a role model. 🙂

I went on an Alaska cruise nine years ago, and I would love to go back.

Working Girl – I’m not exactly sure what she’s talking about either. She broke one wrist at the end of last school year, and the other during summer vacation; both times she tripped and fell. I think she was just trying to make it sound more interesting than simple klutziness :-).
