Friday Fill-ins 3-7-08

This week’s prompts went up early, so my answers are on time for once!

Friday Fill-Ins #62

1. Ahhhh, it’s so nice to get home from work after a long day, and take my shoes off!.
2. One of my favorite things on my desk or bureau is the jewelry box my stepson gave me a couple of Christmases ago.
3. Japanese Cherry Blossom time in Washington DC is something I’ve never seen (yet) – but since my son lives there now, I guess I have an excuse to go!.
4. My little green armchair in the corner, with the matching ottoman, is my favorite place to sit and read.
5. Strawberries and chocolate (and whipped cream, and some cake!) is delicious!
6. I love to watch snappy dialogue in movies (but I guess that technically that’s listening, isn’t it?).
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to my Book Club meeting, tomorrow my plans include shopping for groceries, clothes for Tall Girl, and who knows what else yet, and Sunday, I want to read, write, do some cleaning (well, have to more than want to, honestly), and just hang out!

Unlike the Friday Fill-in, this week’s Booking Through Thursday is clearly past due at this point- that’s either going to be up later this weekend, or passed up for this week. Here’s the question:

You should have seen this one coming … Who is your favorite Male lead character? And why?

It’s the flip side of last week’s topic – yes, we should have seen this one coming. So far, I’ve got no one in mind except the totally obvious choice of Harry Potter; I’ll revisit the topic if any others come to mind.

  1. Indiana Jones!! He’s smart, strong, (cute), and not afraid to adamit he is sometimes afraid.

Oh yeah, and James Bond plays his dad…. 😉

  2. ShortWoman – Not a book character, but an excellent choice all the same! I was a little ambivalent about seeing how he’s aged, but after watching the trailer for the new movie a few times, I’m starting to get psyched.

Alisonwonderland – It does sound like a great dessert, doesn’t it?

This month’s book club pick was Atonement, but I was the only one who finished it – four years ago. I saw the movie instead of re-reading it. The next pick is up in the air right now due to one of our members moving away, but will be decided by next week.
