No one has tagged me for this :-(, but Literary Feline issued an open invitation – as she frequently does – when she did the “7 Random Facts About Me” meme, and I’m picking up the ball. Hey. it’s all about the randomness around here, although as it turns out, there’s a thread connecting the facts I’m sharing here.
I was born on Easter Sunday.
I was born on my mother’s 34th birthday.
I got my horrible eyesight from my mother; my vision can’t be corrected with LASIK, since it’s beyond the reach of the instruments.
I got my love of reading from my mother too, which may not really help with the horrible eyesight…
I got my Italian heritage through my mother; my father’s family was from what used to be known as Austria-Hungary.
My food preferences definitely are influenced by the Italian heritage – I’m a pasta-holic.
I have never been to any of the countries that my ancestors came from.
No tags going forward…if you haven’t done this meme yet, and you’d like to, please do so!

This week’s question is suggested by Island Editions:
Do you have a favourite book, now out of print, that you would like to see become available again? (I have several…)
Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!
I don’t really have an answer for this one, so I’m not going to play BTT this week – but if you’re interested in what the people who did participate have to say, just go here.
An Easter Bunny baby. How sweet for your parents.
Patois – My mom always said I was her birthday present. Can’t imagine that labor and delivery was a fun way to spend her birthday (or Easter), though!
I was born on Easter Sunday too: 4/22/62. Of course, being Jewish, it didn’t mean much to our family!
About books: years and years ago I read a book called “Time And Again.” It was by Jack Finney. It was a wonderful read and I never forgot it.
Last year I ran across a battered old paperback version in a bookshop in Paris. Promptly bought and reread it. It was just as great the second time!
I don’t know if this book is still in print or not. It’s great to read when you’re home in bed with a cold (which I am).
Karen – I’ve never met another Easter-birthday twin before! Well, at least your mother got through Passover first…
Working Girl – I’ve heard of that book (I think it was made into a movie?), and that it was very good, but haven’t read it myself.
Hope your cold gets better soon!
I love the pattern your 7 weird facts took. 🙂
I really didn’t have much of an answer for BTT this week either. Oh well. There’s always next week, right?
Literary Feline – As I recall, yours had a pattern too, so you inspired me twice for this meme! Thanks! 🙂
Yes, let’s hope BTT gives us more to work with next Thursday.
