Tell-A-Story Thursday Blurb: “Come Back for Snacks”

It looks like this is going to be one of those blogging weeks without a Book Talk, so I’m going back to something I threatened y’all with a few months ago. It’s Tell-a-Story Thursday! Here’s today’s prompt, and the book blurb that resulted from it.

Jacket copy, COME BACK FOR SNACKS:

Callie Corcoran isn’t old enough to drive yet, but she’s already in the second year of her scholarship at Smallstate College, and her full ride is becoming a rough ride. She’s been working around the clock and living on caffeine, but she’s got to face up to it: her brain is fried. Her brain is so burnt and crispy that even the zombie who accosts her on her way home from the all-night donut shop decides to take a pass. Grateful that she’ll be alive to take her midterms after all–she’s been working so hard getting ready for them!–Callie offers the zombie lodging in her dad’s tool shed. He can even help himself to any critters he finds if he gets hungry.

He’s not going to fill up on mice, though. Once she gets through those exams and off the venti macchiatos, Callie’s brain will start returning to its tender, young self…and the zombie will be waiting for it.
