Show & Tell Sunday: Halloween Treats

Welcome back to Standard Time, and I hope you were able to enjoy that extra hour of sleep that mysteriously visited you last night! Did you do anything special for Halloween? Some of us dressed up at work on Friday.

And on Saturday, many more people were dressed up at Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo in downtown Los Angeles. Paul and I have gone to this event for the last few years, and it’s really growing– it occupied two halls in the LA Conventiom Center this year–but it’s nowhere close to the mob scene of San Diego Comic-Con, and it strives for a family-friendly vibe. This year we brought Spencer and my nephew Tommy along–Spencer has been before, but this was Tommy’s first time, and he really got into it.

I wasn’t the only TARDIS on the floor.

Today, we’ll be recovering. Spencer has homework, and Paul and I have chores and errands we didn’t get to yesterday.
I think I’ll get some reading time in today, but I’d really like to prep some blog posts. My current reading hasn’t changed from last week, so there’s nothing new to show or tell there, but since we’re officially in Nonfiction November now, that will be guiding what comes next book-wise. Blog-wise, I had a brief moment of insanity during which I considered doing original recipe old-school NaBloPoMo this month…but seriously? The way things have run lately, I’d be doing well to post every day for a week, let alone a month. I may actually try to post every day for one week this month, come to think of it, just to see if I can swing it. Maybe it’ll even be this week—and if it is, I can try for a second week after that. I’ll see how it goes.
What’s going on with you today?
