Event Annoucement:
If Bloggiesta is new to you, here’s what it’s all about:
In short, it’s a blogging marathon. A opportunity to cross those nagging items off of your to-do list and improve your blog while in the good company of other awesome bloggers doing the same thing. Break out the nachos, enchiladas, drinks, mariachi music and whack a pinata or two!
I signed up for the first two Bloggiestas, and they were great opportunities to do some blog-related housekeeping and be inspired by other bloggers doing the same. I hate to miss this one, but it happens twice a year; if you can’t fit it in this time, join the fun in January 2011, and start the new year with a renewed blog!
Thank-You Notes:
Thank you to everyone who responded to my request for guest bloggers earlier this week – I am gratified to say that there was more interest than I expected, so I opened up some extra spots, but they are all are spoken for now! I’ll share the details next week, but I think it’s a great lineup and I hope you’ll enjoy – and comment on – what they have to say. You may know some of them already, but if not, I’m glad to have the opportunity to introduce you to them.

A personal, contrarian response to the “blogger as brand“; when bloggers and brands collide, each side should be observing the same ground rules – a little professionalism goes a long way, both ways
How mommyblogging has changed her life
What does it take to make a marriage last? Seriously, does anyone have an idea? Laughing together definitely helps, though.
Do giveaways give you new readers who stick around? (My suspicion is that they rarely do, which is one reason I rarely host them!)
Be my guest – and please behave like a proper one – when you comment! (I honestly don’t have a lot of trouble with this here, but it’s worth noting generally)

Me: “I’m sorry, but if you kept the book past the due date, then I can’t remove the charge.”
Customer: “Then can I just keep the book?”
