It’s all in the game, so stand tall! More Quiz-o-rama

I will get back on track with posting more content soon, really I will! Meanwhile, let’s just have some fun, and be sure to tell me how these quizzes turned out for you!
========================================
My favorite board games are actually Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, and Monopoly (but not for more than about two and a half hours). I don’t even know how to play chess, but I can’t deny that the description is flattering, if not completely on target.

You Are Chess

You are brilliant and shrewd. You can often predict what people will do in the future.

You thrive in complex situations. You deal with contradictions well.

You can have many streams of though going on at your mind at once. You keep track of things well. (Except when I don’t. Keeping good notes is the secret…)

You are very patient. You have lots of endurance, even when your energy dwindles

==============================================
For those of you who haven’t heard this before, I’m 4’8,” although my driver’s license says I’m 4’9.” Since I don’t drive barefoot, I’m letting that little fib stand. And even if I don’t think this is entirely applicable, it was very nice to read something positive about being short!

What Your Height Says About You

You are cheerful, expressive, and creative (except when I’m none of the above)

You have the heart of an artist, and the whole world is your art project.

You are the type of person who says β€œyes” a lot. You are optimistic and giving. (I’m starting to believe that – sometimes. I don’t seem to be listening to my inner pessimist as much these days.)

You also love a challenge. You enjoy accomplishing the impossible.

You are shorter than most people, but you are taller than an average Guatemalan woman.

  1. More quizes! You know I can’t resist. πŸ™‚

I thought the game choice was funny considering I refuse to learn to play the game I was chosen for. LOL I know I’d lose if playing against my husband. I like the description though and don’t think it’s too far off the mark.

    I am Scrabble:
You are incredibly clever and witty. You can talk your way out of (and into) situations easily.
You are an excellent decision maker. You are good at weighing the options in front of you.
You’re the type of person who can make something out of nothing. You are very resourceful.
You know a lot of things. Most importantly, you know when people are wrong – even when they won’t admit it.

And what my height says about me (which doesn’t really ring true at all if you ask me–still fun to see):
You are a true adventurer, and you live for the thrill.
You have a lot of charisma, and you’re good at convincing people to join you in your schemes.

You are open to the world, and you make connections easily. You have lots of friends.
You are likely to have many life paths to choose from. There are many possibilities open to you.

You are about as tall as the average Vietnamese woman.

  2. Wendy (Literary Feline) – Scrabble is my husband’s best game too.

Some of these quizzes are definitely more on the mark than others, as we’ve seen. I thought the game one was more accurate for me than the height one was, although I did like what it had to say.

    As always, thanks for playing!

  3. Hey, just checking in to see if Florinda is still writing. Hurray, she is! πŸ™‚

Still having fun, too, I see. Plus also moving — yucko. Hope you are starting to feel settled in…

  4. Almostgotit – Yep, I’m still at it – nice to see you around here! I have been following your exploits on your blog, although I haven’t commented there for awhile.

We are pretty well unpacked and settling in now – it’s nice to get the boxes out of the way :-).

  5. I’m Scrabble too. I always thought of myself as Trouble or Sorry. πŸ™‚ I don’t think I’ve played Scrabble in 20 years, probably longer.

I’m the height of an Average Swedish man. Sounds about right; I’m 25% Swedish.

  6. Mike – Trouble or Sorry, huh? Let’s ask Jenn what she thinks :-). Really, though, that was my laugh for the evening.

So how tall IS an average Swedish man, then?

My husband and sister were both Boggle. I would have thought it was some kind of Scorpio thing – their birthdays are four days apart – but my stepdaughter was Boggle too, and she’s a Libra. Well, she’s 14, so she definitely boggles us at times :-).

  7. Well, according to the quiz 5′ 11″ is the average. I may have to check that with data from some Swedish medical site. πŸ™‚

  8. Mike – That’s probably about right; I think Scandinavian “average” heights are on the tall side. I think “average” height for men in the USA is 5’8″ to 5’10” or something, so I tell my son he’s on the short side of average – and he’s lucky. Since half his genes are mine, he could have just been short.

  9. ShortWoman – Apparently, I’m shorter than nearly everyone except an average Guatemalan woman (and an average 8-year-old), so don’t feel too bad :-).
