I’m probably not going to be officially participating in this – too many other plans for the upcoming weekend, including my wedding anniversary! – but I think it’s a great idea and will be doing my little part in reading and supporting the readers.
Saturday, October 20 is the day of the 24-Hour Read-a-thon. (Your 24-hour period begins whenever you wake up.) People who sign up to be readers are committing to reading books, posting updates in their blogs, and if they need breaks, visiting the blogs of other readers and encouraging them. For details, please visit organizer Dewey’s info post at her books blog, The Hidden Side of a Leaf, and thanks to Alison for the heads-up about the event.

Thanks for the mention! It does officially start at 2pm GMT, but I don’t mind if people start when they wake up. And how could I stop them if I did? 😉
Dewey – You’re more than welcome! Hope it gets you another participant or two. I wish I could do it myself, but it’s just really bad timing for me. 🙁
