It’s just about 10 hours into the Readathon, and I don’t think I’ve read for more than about 4 of them all together. I spent about 2 hours this morning between 5 and 7:30 AM, and then went out for awhile – I didn’t get back to my reading until just after noon.
I have completed reading In the Land of Believers: An Outsider’s Extraordinary Journey into the Heart of the Evangelical Church by Gina Welch, and I’m looking forward to writing about it during the next few days. It was fascinating and thought-provoking. Now I’m debating what to read next. I want to start on my next tour book, The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott by Kelly O’Connor McNees, before the Readathon is over, but I’m thinking about changing it up a little with a book of humorous essays. I’ll let you know later whether that turns out to be Why Is My Mother Getting a Tattoo? by Jancee Dunn or Kiss My Tiara by Susan Jane Gilman.
I signed up to cheerlead for an hour, so I think I’ll do that before I pick up my next book. Rock the Readathon, Team Byron!
