I’ve decided to stop holding out on the “favorite things/alphabet” meme. You’ve probably seen it going around – someone who has already done the meme assigns you a letter, and you have to list ten things you love that begin with that letter. You do have to request the letter, though – I asked Kathy from Bermudaonion to assign me one, and she chose the letter F for me (guess why?).
These are a few – 10, to be exact – of my F-favorite things:
Family – husband, kid, stepkids, dad, sister, nephews, mother-in-law…you get the picture(s).
Friends – both the off-line and on-line varieties.
Furry critters, especially dogs – and most especially, this one. Gypsy puts up with a lot from us.
Fiction – I read much more nonfiction now than I did when I was younger, but a good story will always be what I love most in a book.
Feed reader – I could not follow the (probably excessive and insane) number of blogs that I do without my Google Reader; it’s invaluable. But if you’re only sending out a partial feed of your posts, I beg you to reconsider and switch to a full feed!
Food – If this were not true, I would not be a lifetime Weight Watchers member. I can still love food; I just have to be careful not to love it too much, especially pasta, breads, and chocolate.
Finds – I love exploring and discovering. New books and authors, or an engaging and well-written blog; a TV show or musician that isn’t too popular…yet; a new-to-me place to eat; a beach that’s not too crowded; a great dress that fits just right and is on sale – even if I’m not actively looking, I enjoy the thrill of the new encounter.
Funny stuff – people, stories, pictures and situations that make me laugh. I love a good joke and a bad pun, and as much as I enjoy laughing, I enjoy making other people laugh too – as long as it’s on purpose.
Fridays – Who doesn’t like Fridays? One of my favorite things about them is that they are followed by two days in a row when I don’t have to get up at 4:30 in the morning.
Fountains of Wayne – Have I mentioned how much I love this band? Oh yeah, I have. I guess you just have to hear about it one more time, then.
Thanks for getting me started, Kathy!
