As usual, I was not tagged for this meme, but have just lifted it – this time from Misty at Rainy Day in May, since it just looked like fun.
*UPDATED 12/21 after I actually was tagged, by Serena. I’m applying it retroactively.*
Using the first letter of your name*, answer these questions. They have to be real answers, nothing made up, and you can’t use your own name as an answer.
(*That’s meant to be the first letter of your real name, but if you use a blogging pseudonym, you can use that initial – or just confuse your readers, and have them try to guess your real name.)
1. Famous singer: Frank Sinatra
2. Four letter word: Food (hey, I’m keeping it clean here!)
3. Street: Forest Lawn Drive
4. Color: Fawn (a pale brown, I think)
5. Gifts/presents: Fruitcake (the gift that keeps on giving – and being re-gifted – at this time of year. Hey, it didn’t specify “gifts that anyone actually would want” or “gifts you give people you like“)
6. Vehicles: Fire engines
7. Things in a souvenir shop: Fakes (you name it, if it’s in a souvenir shop, it’s probably genuine imitation something-or-other)
8. Boy name: Farrell (I have a cousin with that name somewhere – he was last seen by me in Ottawa, ON in 1972. We were eight years old.)
9. Girl name: Fiona
10. Movie title: Finding Nemo
11. Drink: Fanta orange soda (my stepkids love it, I won’t touch it)
12. Occupation: Forest ranger
13. Celebrity: Fred Flintstone (I say this counts – who hasn’t heard of Fred Flintstone?)
14. Magazine: Fortune
15. U.S. city: Fresno, CA
16. Pro sports: Football
17. Fruit: Fruit! (OK, maybe this one’s cheating a little…)
18. Reason for being late for work: Fire (it’s still Santa Ana season in Southern California)
19. Something you throw away: Fish guts (or fish heads? “Fish heads, fish heads, roly-poly fish heads…”)
20. Something you shout: “Fore!” (Well, I don’t, really…I don’t play golf. But maybe you do?)
And speaking of first initials, here’s a report (via ParentDish, via BlogHer) about a study that found that people gravitate toward things that begin with their first initials, even though sometimes those things might not be entirely desirable. One thing about it that I found interesting is that there was a link between initials and GPA; people whose names began with A or B got better grades than those whose names began with C or D.
At this point, I feel it’s necessary to state that, despite having a name that begins with F, I was a consistent honor-roll/dean’s list student, and graduated from college magna cum laude, so I guess this isn’t an absolute correlation.
Hello Florinda,
That is a great list you have there. Of course it counts. Thanks for replying! 😀
