This week’s BTT question:
Since school is out for the summer (in most places, at least), here’s a school-themed question for the week:
- Do you have any old school books? Did you keep yours from college? Old textbooks from garage sales? Old workbooks from classes gone by?
- How about your old notes, exams, papers? Do you save them? Or have they long since gone to the great Locker-in-the-sky?
My high-school books are long gone. I kept all my major (Accounting) textbooks from college except for my tax accounting book, which was going to be replaced by a new edition the next semester, plus my Business Law textbook, which I thought might have possible use as a future reference. I kept them in my office during my first few jobs, but they’re living in a box in the closet now. After five moves and 20 years since college (!), I think they’re permanent residents, although a lot of what’s in them is probably out of date now. I realize a sentimental attachment to Accounting books is probably bizarre. All my other books were sold, traded, or otherwise disposed of years ago.
Even while I was still in school, I didn’t usually keep old notebooks or anything unless I was taking a next-level course in the same subject the following semester, so I know all that stuff has long since decomposed.
